Scholarship/residency Guidelines for Artists and how to apply
   The Scholarship is open to international artists (including Scottish and UK) working to the highest level of contemporary professional practice in a visual medium and with a particular interest in landscape and the environment. Artists must have completed formal arts education at least 3 years previously.

    Artists are asked to apply on-line with the following information:


   1. An artist statement (max 200 words)
   2. A summary of artistic achievements/exhibitions/projects/awards (max 200 words)
   3. A proposal on intended development and why this opportunity would benefit development of artistic practice and work in this setting (max 500 words)
   4. A CV
   5. An outline of travel costs for a) attendance to interview in Edinburgh (if appropriate, please see details below) and b) travel to and from The Isle of Skye for the actual residency if successful.
   6. A written list of examples of 6 works submitted should be provided with the corresponding numbers and information for each image including artist name, title of work, dimensions of work, medium and year.  
   7. Supporting material: upload up to 6 images (in JPEG format), or 3 video works or combination of the two, up to max 3mins each either by link to vimeo/youtube or upload of .mov/.avi/.wmv/.mpeg formats, showing examples of work. Images should be captioned with a number (1-6).
